These rules apply toall guests at Fontana. By entering the facility you agree to comply with them.They exist to keep everyone safe, healthy, and comfortable, and to protect thenatural geothermal water we share.
Fontana does notuse chlorine. The health and purity of our water depends entirely on thehygiene and conduct of our guests.
→ Shower before bathing -- no exceptions.
All guests mustshower thoroughly without swimwear before entering any pool, steam bath, sauna,or cold plunge. This is required by Icelandic law and is essential at Fontana,where our geothermal water is not treated with chlorine or other disinfectants.
→ Wear clean swimwear.
Only clean swimwearis permitted in the water. Underwear, regular clothing, shorts, and t-shirtsare not permitted in the pools or other bathing facilities.
→ Arrive sober.
Guests who appear tobe under the influence of alcohol or other substances will be refused entry.Fontana sells and permits the responsible enjoyment of alcohol within thefacility, but guests who are visibly intoxicated pose a safety risk and will beasked to leave.
→ Children under 10 must be accompanied.
Children under 10years of age must be accompanied by a swimming-capable adult (16 or older) atall times. A maximum of two children per accompanying adult applies, unless theadult is the child's parent or legal guardian.
→ Children under 16 in the sauna and steam bath.
Children under 16may only use the sauna and steam bath when accompanied by an adult.
→ Latest admission 30 minutes before closing.
Guests must enterthe facility before the admission deadline. Late entry cannot be guaranteed.
→ Follow staff instructions.
Our staff are hereto help. Guests who do not follow instructions or these house rules may beasked to leave the facility without refund.
→ Respect the quiet in the steam bath and sauna.
The steam bath andsauna are designated quiet zones. Please keep conversation to a minimum, speaksoftly, and be considerate of guests seeking rest and stillness. Mobile phonesshould be silenced before entering.
→ Photography is welcome in pools and outdoor areas.
We love that youwant to share your experience. Cameras, phones, and other devices are permittedin all pool and outdoor areas.
☓ Strictly no photography or mobile phone use in changingrooms.
This rule isabsolute and will be enforced without exception. Any guest found photographingor recording in the changing rooms will be asked to leave the facilityimmediately.
☓ Smoking and e-cigarettes.
Smoking and the useof e-cigarettes are prohibited throughout the entire Fontana facility, indoorsand outdoors.
☓ Glass containers.
Glass is notpermitted in pool areas for safety reasons. All drinks served in the facilityare provided in appropriate containers.
Fontana is a place torelax and reconnect with nature. Please be considerate of other guests andtreat our staff with respect. Loud or disruptive behavior that disturbs otherguests may result in removal from the facility.
Fontana reserves theright to refuse entry or remove any guest who does not comply with these rules,without refund.
