Geothermal bakery opening hours

The geothermal bakery tour starts at our reception every day at 11:45 and 14:40.

From June 1 to September 30 we add a third tour at 10:15 am.

This is an ideal experience for groups and a perfect stop on your Golden Circle tour.

Prices:
Adults (Ages 17-66): ISK 7,490
Kids (10-16 years): ISK 4,500
Children (0-9 years): ISK 790
Disabled / Senior citizen: ISK 6,490

Geothermal Bakery Prices

The rye bread tour is ideal for groups. Stop by on your Golden Circle tour or take a scenic ride from Reykjavík to join us.

Fontana opening hours
Oct 1 to May 31: every day from 11:00-21:00
Jun 1 to Sep 30: every day from 10:00-21:00

Please note that the geyser baths at Fontana are currently closed due to renovations, but the Geothermal Bakery tour is operated daily.
When can I join a geothermal bakery tour?
We have daily geothermal bakery tours year-round at 11:45 and 14:30.

Between June 1 and September 30, we add a third tour at 10:15.
Can I buy rye bread on site?
Yes, depending on the geyser activity.
Most of the time, we have fresh tastings and whole loafs for sale, just ask one of our team members.
Unfortunately, we can't ship bread abroad.
Do I need to book in advance?
We recommend that you book tickets in advance, but tickets can also be purchased at Fontana's reception for walk-in guests, as long as we're not sold out.

What is your cancellation policy?
By purchasing tickets to any of Laugarvatn Fontana's activities, you accept our cancellation policy. All cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your visit to get a full refund.

- If you cancel with more than 48 hours notice, you get a full refund
- If you cancel with 24 - 48 hours notice, we charge 50% and refund 50%
- If you cancel with less then 24 hours notice, we charge 100%

In the unlikely event of a sudden closure of Laugarvatn Fontana, guests choose whether they reschedule the visit or get a full refund.
