Laugarvatn Fontana is open all year from 11:00 am to 9:00. During the summer, from 1st June until 30th September we expand hour openings time from 10:00 am to 9:00pm.

We offer a two soups served with bread, butter and pesto. We also offer bagels (Salmon & vegan) and two types of Skyr with granola.

We recommend that our guests book tickets in advance, but tickets can also be purchased at Fontana's reception for walk-in guests subject to availability.

We have daily Geothermal Bakery tours all year round at 11:45 am and 2:30 pm. Between 1 June & 30 September we add third tour at 10:15 am.

By purchasing tickets to any of Laugarvatn Fontana's activities, you accept our cancellation policy. All cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your visit to get a full refund.
- If you cancel with more than 48 hours notice, you get a full refund
- If you cancel with 24 - 48 hours notice, we charge 50% and refund 50%
- If you cancel with less then 24 hours notice, we charge 100%
In the unlikely event of a sudden closure of Laugarvatn Fontana, guests choose whether they reschedule the visit or get a full refund.
Unfortunately, there are no direct buses between Reykjavík and Laugarvatn Fontana so self-drive is always the best result.

Situated just a 50 minutes drive from Reykjavík, Iceland’s capital. Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Baths is located in the village of Laugarvatn, in an area famed for its natural beauty and pleasant climate. Laugarvatn is also in the middle of the Golden Circle, the most popular day trip for visitors to Iceland. It makes an ideal break between Thingvellir National Park and the natural wonders of Geysir and majestic waterfall Gullfoss.

It is easy to drive to Laugarvatn, which is located on road number 37 on route to Geysir and Gullfoss. A new road number 354 connects Laugarvatn to the Þingvellir National Park.
